Integrated Trackers have a few really cool devices that will help a lot of people that worry about their bicycles being stolen. Bicycle thefts are a big deal in the world; bikes are very popular all over the world and thus so are thieves that pray on these bikes.
They can be stolen quickly without most people even noticing it and they can be fenced quickly for some time really big money. So Integrated Trackers, have developed some really creative products to help you find your bicycle after it has been taken. The first product is the Bike Spike, this is a small tracking device that is in the shape of and made to look just like the top cap of the front fork of the bicycle.
You install it directly into the bike and are able to activate the device with a small RFID device. The Bike Spike will notify you if the bicycle experiences some unusual motion or vibration via text message. The user can then log onto Integrated Trackers' online system to see exactly where the bike is located or has traveled to. There is also a much easier device to install and arm, it's called the SpyLamp2.
This device is an actual light that is installed onto the back of the bicycle and can be used to help keep you safe while biking at night. The SpyLamp 2 is designed to be activated by pressing a button on the back side of the light for three seconds. This device works exactly like the Bike Spike from this point on and will also text alerts and also allows you to locate it via their website.
Lastly this company is currently developing a Spike bicycle Seat Post tracker. This device is an actual seat post with a tracking device integrated into it. This device has no moving parts or buttons but is activated by your mobile device. Then from that point on it will work exactly the same as the two previously mentioned tracking units. But at this time there is no time frame available on their website to let us know when to expect this device to be out for purchase. Bike costs can range vastly; I know an inexpensive bike can be purchased from a big box store for under $100. The more expensive bikes can range into the $10,000 range and up and I would venture to guess the market for these devices would be the more expensive bikes, say starting around $500 and up.
These trackers all start under $150.00 and would provide great insurance for any bike rider not wanting to lose their bikes.
